We're getting a few inquires about the Downwinder Series and also Stand Up paddle Boarding on Thursday evenings.........the later that we ran only before Christmas.
I guess many of the activities are through word of mouth and while this is good, people need to appreciate that for us to run events in the simple in-expensive fashion that we do...........particpants in our events need to read our website..........No not to fluff up our viewing stats but so you know exactly what you are participating in and also what you are responsible for as far as your paddling goes.
We are very specific on craft and safety and the Regional Council Navigation and Safety Bylaws in Wellington are the standard.
Read our event info, it is impotant to us, and yourselves that you do,..........all our event flyers are found on the right hand side of the page.
We don't have safety craft at our events because the craft we cater for are those that are able to self rescue............we expect people to practice self rescue in all conditions and use the required safety equipment as mentioned in the bylaws, and your own Sports safety codes.
We will be watching the weather through the week and making a final call on the venue by 10 am on Saturday morning.........this is 24 hours before Sundays event.
We had the Mana event so the next one will be on the Petone - Eastbourne waterway.............or the Eastern Suburbs waterways in Wellington.
