Outlook for PGT

We're tracking the weather through to April 12 for the Porirua Grand Traverse and early indications have a North Westerly 40 kmh gusting to 45 kmh which is about the same as we encountered for the paddle recce on March 29.

Much will change over the next 6 days and we'll post updates on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday just so everyone's in the picture and can plan options for craft they may like to use on that day....handy if you have a couple of choices.

During the week Welly Paddlers will continue with the weekly "Paddling Connections"
We've been running these every Thursday from 5.30 pm since September with a short break over the Christmas New Year Period.
The intention was to run them through to the end of daylight savings, but with a few keen paddlers eyeing up events and April through to the end of May....and with these months providing some of our calmest spells on the water each year......we'll keep them going till around mid May.....with a new start time of 5 pm.

Events Coming up....

April 12 Porirua Grand Traverse multisport event with paddle only option
April 26 Tai Tonga 41 Marathon Evans Bay
May 3 Crazyman multisport event
May 16 Portage Race, Picton kayaks, waka ama, stand up's
May 24 "Cold Kiwi Series" starts
June 27 Matariki organised by Hikoikoi
