The first of the SETS kicks off tomorrow night (Thursday)
For our first one we'll keep it friendly and start in a really user friendly location at Hataitai Beach in Evans Bay, plenty of parking there, and our meet time is 5.30 pm.
It's going to be a 20kmh North Easterly...........it'll be low tide around 7 pm so there will be plenty of exposed beach for our gear.
It is highly likely that we may well paddle all the way around to the Freyberg Pool and back............so it's pretty much beach to beach really.
It will all come down to the wind strength for the SUP's. We'll have a better idea once we turn up tomorrow and by then I'll also have an accurate forecast for the following 2 hours from the start time.............not that we'll be out for that long.
It will be anything from 45 mins to 1 hour but we'll play it all by ear.
