The course was a 3 lapper totaling 25 minutes at a quick snip or 30 to 35 minutes at a more leisurely pace. A good mixture of craft on the water funny how the sun and not much wind brings the fine weather paddlers out...............tonight about 20 to 25 paddlers rolled up.
A bit of the old tail wagging the dog with people turning up late and a 6.30 start turning into a 6.50 start I don't know what it is I remember 7 or 8 years ago it used to start at 6 pm...................excuse traffic, leave work early and get yourselves organised I say.
A regular trip from my work in Thorndon to Kupe Canoe Club is 15 mins roughly........... in peak traffic it's going to be double that 30 to 35 minutes.................easy do the maths don't blame the traffic it's a constant.....................like work it comes down to time management.

As for our events we have the same problem...............we may well start ours on time from here on in.................snooze you loose...........someone has to break the cycle............we'll give it a whirl, nothing ventured nothing gained as they say.
Tomorrow is another 30 kmh Northerly day.....................perfect.
