You can't buy everything online....as cheap as everyone thinks it can be....it's not all about us saving money....if we all shopped that way many of our mates would be out of jobs :-(

Anyhow supporting Event Sponsors is so important...they support our Paddling Communities.

First up big up's to Cory's Electrical Whanganui and Rhino Racks for sponsoring a $226 spot prize of Rhino Nautica craft cradles. Sharlene won them at the Whanganui River Challenge, early November they are now on her surf ski and stand up paddle board transporter and she loves them !...So thanks to Aimee Fisher, Aaron Cox and all the Team at the Whanganui Kayak Club for putting the event on for all paddlers and rowers...and great to see it back on the calendar again.

Fergs Kayaks support the events, we run really well. We have an event funded sponsorship agreement with them for selected events......so we support them and they support us....we'd like paddlers to share the love and buy from the retailers who support our Events.

Recently Sharlene needed some racks for her car...it was quite a difficult task to piece together components from the fitting specs that I required :-). John and Dave were really patient with me, and in the end we achieved a fantastic result and that rack configuration looks awesome. So huge thanks Dave.

Visibility on the open water is a concern in Auckland with so many craft on the water....the Harbour masters Policy is that paddlers must wear 2 x items of visible clothing.

As far as Welly Paddlers is concerned...we're a colurful bunch anyhow...you only need to look at our colourful tee shirt options.

To stand out and be more visible to other waterusers......fluoro are bright colours on the following items:

• PFD
• Hat
• Long sleeve hot......there are summer and winter options

Dave Annear at Fergs Kayaks has sourced us all a whole batch of lime green Adrenalin 2P thermal paddling tops...though these are great for winter use.....our weather dicates they work well all year round especially the cooler mornings and evenings....face it you need a another cold or flu....like having a wart on your backside.

Anyhow we've had ours decaled up even brighter with "Welly Paddlers" on the arms....so here's a sample...and also Sharlene demoing the colour scheme from a distance
