This in Wellington this coming Season....oh yes we can

Check this out....... Huge numbers of paddlers... waka ama, kayak, surf ski and SUP all together in Wellington save you heaps of travelling. http://www.stuff.co.nz/waikato-times/news/10007970/300-paddler-start-line-spans-harbour

Above is what our people were up to in Raglan on Saturday...awesome work Raewyn Anderson, Lei Faletolu, Neil O'Brien, Karl Timu and a few other locals who have moved north.

Are you with us.... or are you just going to dream about why there are so many huge events in Auckland, Raglan, Rotorua, Nelson every year. Don't you want people to travel to see you every year?........what have you got to hide..........aren't you proud of your beautiful City or waterways.........or do you think it's too windy, too cold, too flat or too rough here......and out of towners think the same as you do?

Time to get real here people we can all create something special if you have to believe and support us to a level you've never stepped outside of before.

I know some think/believe/guess we are all about kayaking or surf ski.........had a comment from a well respected waka ama man on April 24 that we just care about kayaks......I thought well you've never been to a Motorway Classic event......I of course, took it all with a grain of salt......
Do you ever not see me/us supporting a waka ama, kayak or SUP event when we are free that weekend???
There is such a word in the dictionary last time I looked......reciprocate.
There are still plenty of barriers to break down out there and perception about what others are......or aren't doing.....talk to me..........it's all about communication......if you don't communicate you'll always get  the things you are so used to..........and never expand your horizons.

Instead of throwing words around.....we all need to throw a few sprinkles of action around.

Also the Crazyman was held in Wellington on the weekend as we know..... but the week before.......Heather Kirkham, Dan Pringle and James Coubrough, Tom Bowen raced in a 4 day double kayak event on the Clutha River http://www.wilddescent.co.nz/

Next weekend (May 17)
is the Portage race in Picton which is a real doozey of an event.........view the events calendar.

Last but not just tidying up my motorcycle injury shoulder and back.......I made huge in roads today with Yearg (which is how his name rolls off our kiwi tongues) He's a massage genius in Woodward Street Wellington.......he's now my first point of call.........he gives good advice on vitamins and Sports massage products and "where to get the best deals".

All I can say is solid!!!

I met Jorg at the kayak/mountain bike transition at the Crazyman.....we're going to go out kayaking next week to tune his boat in better to the way he paddles.....looking forward to paddling and yakking as per usual.....
