One of those Days

For all you Pink Floyd fans, yesterday was just that. Nice light Southerly which is when we get our warmest temperatures in the Capital.

Plenty of nice water out on the Harbour and the Fergs Kayaks Wellington hire fleet was flat stick with people on the water on SUP's and kayaks and on the land with bikes and roller blades inside they would have flat out with people all over the climbing wall as well.

It was our Wedding anniversary yesterday so what better way to celebrate than to go out paddling together. Sharlene on the Starboard 12ft 6 and myself on the Think Evo II. We had a good tutu around the harbour starting from Oriental Parade and heading around to the Kumutoto Centre, the Lagoon and back.
You can see so much more from the water than you can from the land, it also adds a different perspective, like looking from the outside in, meaning you watch what people are doing on the shoreline as much as they watch what you are doing on the water.

If you don't have the affordability to buy any flash watersports gear just go down and hire some from Fergs every now and again, they supply all the right gear with the hire.
Back in the days when I was bought up on the welfare state, one of, my fondest memories was of hiring kayaks with my brother at Acacia Bay on Lake Taupo while on the rare holiday there, when I was around 13 or 14...................Now we have Fergs Kayaks..............Fantastic......... I also believe Chris out at Ocean Outfitters, Mana is also getting together a hire fleet as well.
