Yeah it's been cold big deal.........it came good this arvo. As I always say there's no such thing as bad weather it's just picking the appropriate clothing choices ( and spare sets ready) for that day.
Tuesday the Big Southerly didn't deliver till around 10pm in the evening should have paddled that afternoon but didn't. Wednesday was fairly cool and the southerly was kicking arse and I could have gone out and surfed some waves in the Harbour, but thought why fight it. Do I really need to get a chest cold and be running on 4 out of 8 cylinders for the next two weeks........no I don't think so........it's about working smarter
not harder sometimes.
The new Welly Paddlers logos arrived yesterday thanks to Watermark Signs in Rongotai. The Welly Paddlers tee shirt order went in on Tuesday and they should be ready by the end of next week just in time for "The Motorway Classic"
Today had a great paddle at lunchtime in the warm southerly and after work went out again with Sharlene, who was on her SUP. Looking forward to getting out on Saturday after work and next week I have a two day training camp with a mate from over in the Wairarapa who has competed in a couple of World Kayak Champs over the last ten years.
