Surf ski Event around "The Big Island"

A few of the boys are talking about regular events not on the calendar and also the fact not everyone can make it along to one of the regular Tuesday night kayaking gigs in Wellington for one reason or another.

SUP is well established in Wellington with two groups running events this season and Waka Ama has a number of events also................then there's nothing for some of us keen............ "garden variety surf ski paddlers".

What we've been asked to do.......is to run an event every 3 to 4 weeks like we used to do a couple of Seasons back.

Event ONE

Saturday December 14

9am start

Petone around Somes (Matiu) Island and back to Petone (8.4km)

start by the Giant Oars on the Esplanade

entry free

surf skis only (because how else do you grow this activity?)

PFD's and leg leashes please, no safety boats will be on the course

If you don't have a surf ski and would like to participate go and see Dave Annear at Fergs Kayaks they have 4 Think surf skis and 1 Epic surf ski available for hire.
