Chris Brown & Co from Ocean Outfitters are organising their very first Stand Up paddle Board race/event in Wellington and it'll be all on tomorrow (Saturday) at Titahi Bay.
The event is a "Battle of the Paddle" format which basically means it's an event out and back through the surf a few times. The course is M shaped...........which means you have three buoys to go around between the start and the finish.
The event works by a series of heats of generally around 6 paddlers per heat then you have semis and finals.................there may also be a teams section as well to give everyone a bit more water time and to get their 5 bucks worth.
