The conditions don't appear to be changing too much from the forecast in the previous post, so the likelihood of a Ngatitoa Domain starting point looks on the cards.
The final announcement will be posted tomorrow at 10 am after my morning surf ski paddle then weather check.
I'm not sure how many people there will be turning up on Sunday, with the Waka Ama sprint Nationals starting next week and I've only heard from a couple of people in the last week or so it could well be a boutique feild turning up. The Downwinder announcement did come six weeks ago.
What have I been up to on the water? I had an awesome paddle from Hataitai Beach this afternoon and I'm heading there again early tomorrow morning for some more surf ski paddling from there...........same conditions as today great surfing in the 35 kmh Northerly from Greta Point
It is likely that I won't be paddling either surf ski or sup for Sundays downwinder as there is too much to do to run the event and it's best to run these things with at least two people and keep our events running to our usual high standard, from the best course possible for all craft to results and photos. Getting this mix right and posting good information is helping us to get over 4,000 views on our site a month.
So thanks from us, Chester and Sharlene
