Mana Island Challenge
Well Paddlers toughed it out in fairly mean conditions in the weekends Mana Island Challenge.
I wasn't there myself........... someone in the household had to work (-: Shaz represented us and took a whole bunch of photos, which she's sending through to race Organisers Porirua Canoe and Kayak Club.
The race didn't go ahead out and around Mana Island because it was fairly cold and mean out there, so they raced the length of the Porirua Harbour and out to Hongoeka Bay, north of Plimmerton and back.
A good day out, enjoyed by all the Paddlers and some hearty kai served up by Mrs Hodges & Family.
This weekend............
Sunday the final race of the W 1 Harbour Series hosted by Joern Scherzer and partner Tania.
If it's Southerly it'll be out at Mana............... a Northerly it should be at Petone.

Sunday also sees the 8th running of the Ruamahanga Kayak race.
There are two distances 31km and 19 km.
