Thanks to all.....and Matariki 2015

Hey big thanks to all those who turned out last Sunday for Cold Kiwi Series event ONE.....and too many who couldn't make the journey by road due to very testy wind conditions.

The Cold Kiwi is very much a Regional Series and we'd like to thank a number of paddlers who continually make the Journey through from the Horowhenua and Wairarapa.

Sharlene, as always does some awesome work behind the scenes and the camera on Sunday very ably helped in that area by Kate Booth (behind the lense also) and Chris Fox, who is a Fulltime Paid Administrator from Waka Ama, was also there helping Sharlene out with timing and paddlers who came through in quick succession.
We are taking a wee break due to 3D Rotorua I know Lei Faletolu, Raewyn Anderson and Neil O'Brien will be paddling SUP there, Brodie Mac Gregor is paddling SUP? and a few keen Wellington Multisporters are doing the 3 disciplines, lead by Tim and Peter Sutton and probably a number of others from Wellington, Horowhenua though to the the Wairarapa, safe travels and enjoy the Rotorua Experience

If you like to know more of what's hapening in our community check out some news links on the left hand side of the page.... Multsiport New Zealand, Wellington Multisport and Pacific Ocean Paddlers.

The Following weekend June 7, the annual Matariki event is being run by the Hikoikoi Waka Ama Club.....traditonally a Waka Ama event.......but for the last 5 years or so it has been opened up to include surf skis, sea kayaks and stand up paddle boards. Everyone is made to feel welcome, like many of our local events.
Chris Fox is the Lady behind this one, so feel free to contact her if you have anything you'd like to talk to her about chris at tekau.maori.nz
