Event FOUR this Saturday

The final surf ski only event for the summer is all go for this Saturday morning at 9am.

Sticking to the Welly Paddlers tradition of spreading the events evenly around the Greater Wellington Area we'll be running this one at either Eastbourne or Seatoun. Petone, Hataitai Beach, Mana have been the previous locations we've used.

The forecast is for fine weather during this week then rain and a southerly on Saturday, but you how quickly the forecast changes in the Capital.

The plan for Eastbourne will be a course starting at Days Bay and heading up to a buoy in Lowry Bay and
back x 2 laps, total distance 10km.

The plan for Seatoun will be a course starting at Scorching Bay down under the Seatoun wharf and back x 2 laps, total distance 9km. We're pretty easing going with these events, so if you'd like to do just one 1 lap that's all good with us. Fundamentally these events are like all our others, they are more about people connecting with each other.

Of course the weather and wind conditions are always very fluid so we'll make the final venue announcement at 9 am this Friday February 28. There will also be an update and a yarn on the weeks paddling on Wednesday.

A few photos from the first three events of the series and Sharlene out for a spin in the Seatoun Bays yesterday.
