The wrap from Welly TWO

No it wasn't a special invitation club only event today :-)............ a small turnout but the dates are on our calendar entry is *free* (for everybody) no privileges for being in a club, or not in a club........ and if you're there, you're there..... if you're not, you're not. Contrary to the photos from our events you don't have to paddle a Think surf ski to enter either.

What a day huh........we had an awesomely fine day and a Northerly of between 15 kmh and 25 kmh and

pretty good conditions compared to the high winds that have been rocketing through Evans Bay at times over the last few weeks.

I won't single anyone out for their efforts today other than it's good to have paddlers out on the water

no matter how much, or how little paddling you're doing. One special mention must go to the Waterford Security boys they are right into their paddling and multisports and if we had a corporate Teams section they would have won it hands down today!

An event that not many people know about.....apart from someone like me who's "in the know".....The Whareama River Race they have a 16km and 9 km option (its on the road out to Castlepoint). It's on Sunday January 26 http://www.wmsc.org.nz/default.asp?PageID=20091
