Race 6 @ Ngati Toa Domain

Thanks to Jörn and Tania for hosting the race today.

I was one of the non believers, I thought that it was going to be fairly damned windy from Ngati Toa today but it wasn't actually as bad as the wind speeds suggested.

Today we had a straight 40 kmh Northerly gusting to 55 kmh at times.

The course went around to Browns Bay and return for the SUP's and the Waka Ama, surf skis and kayaks did the same course but two laps with the turning point being around the rail bridge at Mana.

The SUP's did 4.25km with everyone else doing 8km.

Today a good showing from W1's and W6's, the SUP's were a bit lite on it due to it being more Kitesurfing than SUP weather and we had the usual casual turnout from the Surf skis and Kayaks.

Big thanks to Fergs Kayaks for supporting the Series and with one more race to go at Petone on September 16............. I'll be looking to head to the Wellington Store to sit down and select all the spot prizes for the last race with Dave.
