Likely course Hataitai Beach around the Carter Fountain (clockwise) and back (distance approx 7 km)

2 lap course, distance 5.5 km approx
Start by buoy at Hataitai beach
Around buoy by Te Kotuku (near Coastguard)
Around pole at end of Marina break water.
Around buoy east of spinning coloured blocks on Cobham Drive
Clockwise around buoy by first roundabout on the way to the airport
back the same way you came
Clockwise around buoy at Hataitai beach
do that lap again
finish between beach and buoy.

We won't be using the boat to turn around anymore as people are getting squeezed out on the first turn, maybe due to tidal movements around these craft.
