Well the demo session went well last night even though it was quite coolish and blustery.
Big thanks to Ian Ferguson for taking time from his busy schedule to come down and see what we're all doing down this way. We extended the invitation for Ian to come down to work on the demo day which he agreed to do, which was good as he has a good variety of surf skis and of course he was more than happy to join in and do the race, which is run every Tuesday evening by Shane Ross.
Thanks to Shane again for also allowing us to work our demo sessions around his Twilight race http://www.betterthantv.co.nz/
Thanks also to the Fergs Wellington staff, Rob Anear and Hans Wannemacher for assisting Ian and also joining us all out on the water for the race.
The numbers usually fall when the conditions were like they were last night, (though the wind did settle down for the race pretty much) but I'm sure, with Ian Ferguson being out on the water everyone was keen to see how they'd match up against him.............that was nothing, you wait and see what he can do when he does some training!
There is an article on Sportzhub from last nights demo and racing http://www.sportzhub.com/ photos from last night should make it onto our website tonight.
If anyone missed the chance to demo the surf skis, or it was a bit cold last night to try one, just go down to Fergs Wellington on a nice warm calmish day (we get them at least once a week at the moment) and see Dave, Hans or Mike they will help you out.
Below are the remaining races for the 2010 Wellington Series:
