Sunday's Winter Series Event

The latest forecast for Sunday is for a 30 kmh - 40 kmh Northwesterly possibly gusting to 55kmh at the outside. This predictation is between 9 am and 11am........in the morning it may not be as windy as the forecast suggests........all will be revealed as far as the weather goes, tomorrow morning.

At around midday and (one weather map says 3pm) winds will be picking up to between 60kmh - 80 kmh.

So here's how it goes.

Get there early and set you gear up so we can all start at 10 am and avoid the worst of the wind. (The event should take around 30 to 50 minutes to complete)

We will be down at the start at Hataitai Beach / Cog Park by 9 am.

The event briefing will be at 9.55 am.

We will have the 8 km course and the 3 km SUP course set to the conditions on the day by 9.15.........they will both be pretty much set within the sheltered confines of Greta Point (where we can escape the worst of the predicted wind above)......it is winter after all so we're keeping these events very Paddler friendly. Trust me on the courses, I know the area well and I paddle both SUP and surf ski in this area when it's as breezy as it will be tomorrow.

We require everyone to come down to the beach by the concrete steps and listen to the briefing and course settings at 9.55am.

PLEASE READ THE EVENT FLYER TO VIEW ENTRY REQUIREMENTS..... click on the flyer on the right hand side of this page.

Photos and results from the event will be posted here late Sunday afternoon.

For all the Multisport buffs out there.........
Hey Chester,

A lot of people wont know this yet but at 3pm this saturday on Sky 4, the Crazyman footage will be screened. Any chance you could flick up a quick note to inform all?
